DUNLAP, Tenn. (AP) - Supersonic skydiver Felix Baumgartner's parachute was packed in Tennessee.

George Galloway of Precision Aerodynamics told the Chattanooga Times Free Press his employees in Dunlap are heroes in the dive Sunday from the edge of space.

Company employees stitched the parachute together from nylon fabric that was made in Chattanooga and then tested it 1,000 times.

Galloway, who founded his company in 1980, has never met Baumgartner, but his company has made 600,000 specialty chutes for the military and for stunt jumpers who fly flags into NASCAR speedways.
