NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police want to find two men who ambushed and opened fire on a young couple in front of their home in north Nashville.
Police said the victim and his girlfriend were sitting in their car in front of their home in the 3800 block of Atwell Road in the Whites Creek area around 10 p.m. Tuesday when two men jumped out of the bushes.
One of the men pulled out a gun and started shooting at the car. In the middle of the shootout, the couple was able to get out of the car and run towards their house. However, a bullet grazed the boyfriend's leg.
The two gunmen fled the scene, and headed toward Boatner Drive.
Police said both men were wearing black clothing and had black bandannas over their faces.
The victim, who was not identified, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
No arrests were made. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.
