NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police said would-be robber probably thought a mask would keep him from getting caught, but now it could be a key piece of evidence against him.
Police said the man went into the Walgreen's on Donelson Pike, told employees he had a gun, and wanted prescription pills.
After one of the employees announced on the store's PA system that police were on the way, he fled the scene.
But another employee got her hands on his mask.
Police said they were able to obtain a DNA sample from inside the mask. It was sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation lab for analysis.
