Large Amount Of Prescription Drugs Found During Apartment Raid
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Police said a large stash of prescription narcotics found during a raid of an apartment in Murfreesboro were being traded for guns.
Detectives raided of a small apartment on Hanover Street in Murfreesboro, and discovered hundreds of powerful prescription pills, including Xanax, Lortab, oxycodone, morphine. They also found a large supply of syringes, and several guns.
Police questioned the man who lives in the apartment, Tony McPeake, who allegedly confessed, saying "I just like guns."
He told police he added to his collection by trading out pills for the weapons, most recently a silver handgun found stashed in the attic.
Police arrested McPeake, and confiscated the large stash of narcotics.
Detectives hope to track those who were trading him the guns for narcotics, so more arrests are possible.
