NASHVILLE, Tenn. - There could be more microbreweries in Nashville soon.
Metro council members decided Tuesday night to loosen the rules that regulate where a small brewery can do business.
The old law only allowed them in special overlay districts, or industrial areas. Now, brewers can make their beer in most commercial districts.
The breweries will only be able to produce 45,000 gallons of beer a month, which is approximately 1,500 barrels. They can also be paired up with a restaurant.
