NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country legend T.G. Sheppard will be released from the hospital Thursday afternoon following a brief stay.
Sheppard had been admitted to a Nashville hospital over the weekend for a bladder infection. His wife had posted on her Facebook page that he had been admitted to the Critical Care Unit after it spread to his bloodstream.
In a release, it said T.G wanted "to make sure everyone knows how much he and Kelly appreciate the thoughts, prayers, and prayer lines offered for his speedy recovery and he wants everyone to know how much he loves and cares for them."
The 68-year-old had most recently performed at the Reunion of Professional Entertainers ( R.O.P.E.) awards banquet in Nashville on Thursday, October 11.
He is best known for his No. 1 singles, "Devil in the Bottle" and "Slow Burn," although he has a total of ten No. 1 hits to his credit. He has most recently released a gospel album titled "Because You Love Me."
