NASHVILLE, Tenn. - An argument between two men Thursday evening turned deadly in Madison.

Investigators said 42-year-old Christopher Shane Toth was found deceased outside a home on Ocoee Trail in Neely's Bend around 7 p.m.

Evidence and witness statements to police showed that Toth and 29-year-old Clayton Davenport got into an argument. A neighbor told police that he saw the two men yelling at each other, and Toth was armed with tree limb. Davenport ran into the house, and Toth kicked at the door and broke out the front window, according to police.

Police said Davenport came outside with an ax handle, and Toth struck him with the tree limb before Davenport hit Toth with the ax handle.

The neighbor said Toth fell to the ground, but it has not been determined how many times Toth was hit.

No charges have been placed against Davenport.

Police said the men were drinking together before the fight.
