NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A month old murder investigation has frustrated the police working the case in South Nashville.
Twenty-six-year-old Dennis Prutianov was shot to death when someone opened fire on a house on Moss Road in September. Prutianov died inside the house.
Police said that someone drove up and fired shots into a house where he was staying in on Moss Road. Prutianov was shot to death in the middle of the night.
Prutianov's family is frustrated. There have been no arrests. Detective Chad High has been working the case. Witnesses told him a dark colored four door sedan possibly a Toyota Camry drove up to the house at 1:30 in the morning.
Detective High believes people who know who did it may be afraid to come forward because there's a possible drug connection.
"It's a drug house. And we've had several drug complaints there, and either Dennis was targeted specifically for something he was doing, or the house was," said Detective High.
Family members said Prutianov was cleaning up his life.
"I believe it had nothing to do with that. That was personal. Why would you shoot that much? There's no way," said longtime girlfriend Brandi Tatum.
Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
