NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Officials at Tennessee State University have announced the four finalists for the position of president of the school.
A meeting was held on Friday to determine the four candidates. The finalists were Ainsley Carry, vice president for Student Affairs at Auburn University; Glenda Glover, dean of the College of Business at Jackson State University; Bennie Harris, vice president for Development and Alumni Relations at Lipscomb University; and Candace Campbell Jackson, vice president and chief of staff at The University of Akron.
"The search committee is pleased to recommend an excellent group of candidates for consideration," said Greg Duckett, vice chairman of the Tennessee Board of Regents and search committee chair. "We look forward to learning more about each of them and giving them an opportunity to meet with TSU family and friends."
Each will visit the TSU campus during the week of October 29, 2012 to meet with a variety of university constituent groups, including faculty and staff, students, and alumni.
