Two Injured In Crash In Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Two people were injured in a crash that shut down a busy road for hours in Murfreesboro on Friday night.

The crash happened along on South Church Street near Butler Drive around 5 p.m. Police said Tammy Lee Cone was attempting to turn left in a black Toyota Corolla  to enter the Kangaroo Market when her vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a red Dodge Neon.

Neither driver was hurt, but two passengers in the Corolla, 20-year-old Cody Cone and 19-year-old Alyshan Schoch, were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Their condition was unknown.

Traffic on the roadway was diverted for several hours while officers with the Fatal Accident Crash Team investigated the wreck.

No charges have been filed.
