NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Emergency crews from Nashville rescued a man who somehow ended up 30 feet below the Woodland Street bridge near downtown.
Metro Police were driving down the Gay Street connector just before 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning when they said they heard someone shouting. When they went to investigate, they saw a man down on the banks of the Cumberland River. Crews used a rope and bucket system to pull the man up to safety.
Police are not sure how he ended up down there or how seriously he was hurt.
