NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A record
breaking country music star has reached a new level of fame.
Garth Brooks has been
officially inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Brooks was greeted by a crowd of excited fans
as he walked the red carpet with fellow 2012 inductees, Connie Smith and Pig
Robbins.
"Any class you go in
with is, is phenomenal, but yeah, I mean, are you kiddin' me? With Pig and Miss
Connie, it's, that is what country music is," explained Brooks.
The ceremony was packed
with some of country music's finest like Merle Haggard and included performances
by James Taylor, Bob Seger, and George
Strait.
The night came to a close
with an emotional Brooks thanking family and friends for their support as he
accepted his award.
