Man Critically Injured In Shooting In East Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Police said a man was shot in east Nashville on Sunday night.

Several men told police they were driving down an alley around 10:45 p.m. when a man stepped in front of their vehicle. The driver got out and asked the man to move.

A second man walked up to the driver and shot him in the chest.

The men loaded the driver in the vehicle and drove to the Walgreens on Gallatin Pike where they got out and ran.

The driver was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

The gunman and his accomplice have not been caught.

Police said the suspects and victim knew each other, but have not released a motive for the crime.
