Fort Campbell Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – A soldier from Idaho serving with the 101st Airborne has been killed in Afghanistan.

Private First Class Shane Wilson died Thursday in Khost, Afghanistan, while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

The 20-year-old was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team at Fort Campbell and graduated from high school last year.

His family lives in Idaho and released a statement saying they are very sad, but proud of their soldier's service.
