Derrick Wayne Lacour
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A man was hospitalized after police said his roommate stabbed him several times during an argument.
Clarksville Police said Derrick Wayne Lacour, 33, got into an argument with his girlfriend early Saturday morning, and their roommate, 33-year-old Jerimie Speck, intervened. The fight turned physical between Lacour and Speck, and Lacour pulled out a box cutter from his pocket, stabbing Speck six times in the back and neck area.
Speck was taken to Gateway Medical Center, and then transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He has since been released.
Lacour had some medical issues, and was taken to Gateway for treatment. He will be booked into the Montgomery County jail after his release on aggravated assault and two two general session capias warrants, which were already on file.
His bond will be set on $26,500.
Police said Lacour has a lengthy criminal history involving traffic offenses and assault.
