MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A worker discovered hundreds of dollars in counterfeit cash in the parking lot of the Avenue Murfreesboro.

A 23-year-old worker told police she was walking to her car after work when she spotted a stack of bills in the parking lot. She called police, who determined the $420 was counterfeit.

Police think someone trying to pass the funny money at the mall may have become spooked and dumped it.

The bills will be held for evidence.

No arrests have been made.
