NASHVILLE, Tenn.- After being re-admitted to the hospital less than a week after
being
released following heart surgery, baby Andrew Hagewood was said to be in
stable condition.
On
Monday, baby Andrew Hagewood's family posted on
Facebook that he was having trouble breathing, and was
re-admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital
Sunday night after an X-ray showed fluid overload.
Tuesday, hospital officials said
that Andrew was in critical but stable
condition. A family Facebook post said that he may be released as early as
Friday.
Andrew had been released last Tuesday, after spending several
months in the hospital following a heart transplant on March 30. It was the
first time he'd been able to go to his home in White House since his birth in
February.
Andrew's
parents hope his story will help raise awareness about the lives that are saved
every day through organ donation.
