BRENTWOOD, Tenn.- The landscape of downtown Brentwood could be changing.
Developers with the "Streets of Brentwood" proposal have asked the city for a zoning change at Maryland Way and Franklin Road. If approved it would make way for a mixed-use, town center development that includes a theater, office buildings, retail and restaurant space as well as a hotel.
A site plan released Tuesday showed more than 970,212 square feet of space for the project.
"After many months of planning, we are pleased to deliver to Brentwood a development concept that complements the vision the city commissioners had when they expanded the boundaries of the Town Center," said Jimmy Granbery, CEO of H.G. Hill Realty Co., in a news release.
The zoning request will be heard at a commission meeting November 12th, before then the developers will show their plans to the public October 29th at 6pm at the Tennessee Baptist Convention.
