High School Principal Resigns After Misconduct Allegations
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn.- Hundreds of parents and students at Centennial High School received a call Tuesday afternoon about their Principal.
Officials with Williamson County School said that Centennial High School principal Dr. Frank Brown has resigned from his position following allegations of misconduct.
Williamson Schools Director Mike Looney confirms he sent a letter to the state board of education. In the letter Looney said he got information that Brown had a sexual relationship with a student while working at McGavock High school 10 years ago and continued to have improper relations with that individual while serving as principal at Centennial High School.
Former Centennial Assistant Principal Sandra Joyner will serve as interim principal beginning tomorrow.
This is the second time a
Centennial High School administrator has been accused of sexual misconduct in
just a few months. In August, physical education
teacher Darren Henrie was suspended, and then resigned after being charged with
sexual battery by an authority figure.
He's pleaded not guilty to the charges
