Shooting Reported In Edgehill Area - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro Police have been called out to the scene of a shooting in the Edgehill Area near Rose Park.

Officers were called to the area of 1200 Hillside Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police said that  when officers arrived on scene they found a 27-year-old man shot in the back laying in a grassy area next to the The Park at Hillside Apartments, 

It was not clear how seriously the victim was injured.The victim's name was not released. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment

Officials said they were searching for a black male about 5'8, with dreadlock who was wearing an orange shirt at the time of the shooting. 

The investigation was ongoing.
