Deputy Commanding General Leaves Fort Campbell

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - Fort Campbell is saying goodbye to the 101st Airborne Division's deputy commanding general for support, Brig. Gen. William Hickman.

The installation on the Tennessee-Kentucky state border is holding an honor eagle ceremony on Friday to bid farewell to Hickman, who also earned a master's degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Hickman will be the new commanding general for the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, La.

Brig. Gen. Ronald F. Lewis has been named as the new deputy commanding general for support under Maj. Gen. James C. McConville.

Lewis previously served as the commander of the 159th Combat Aviation Brigade at Fort Campbell from July 2007 to March 2010.
