NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Emergency crews have been called out to a house fire near Dickerson Pike in North Nashville.

Fire fighters responded to the fire at a home in the 300 block on Homestead Road around 3:30 p.m. Friday. Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles in the area.

It was unclear how the fire started or if any of the home's residents were there when it began. Crews did not say if any injuries had been reported.
