CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Two Clarksville men have been arrested after exchanging explicit text messages with and requesting sex from a young teenage girl.
Police said that 20-year-old Vincent Cleveland Georgic sent messages to a 14-year-old girl requesting sex, and later rented a local hotel room and had sex with the girl.
Police were alerted with the teen's mother discovered she was receiving the receiving explicit text messages. In addition to the previous messages received, after police had taken custody of the phone, Georgic sent a message to the young girl asking her to participate in the threesome with him and another friend.
After further investigation, police determined that Georgic was aware of the girl's age when they engaged in sexual activity. He was arrested on October 26 and charged with statutory rape.
While investigating the Georgic case, Clarksville Police discovered 21-year-old Justin Chappell had been sending graphic text messages to a local detective posing as an underage girl. Chappell not only sent the graphic messages, but also arranged a meeting to have sexual intercourse with the juvenile and a 16-year-old friend.
