Lawrenceburg Man Indicted On Rape Charges

LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn.- A 45-year-old Lawrenceburg man has been arrested after being indicted for having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl.

Officials said that George Edward Staggs was arrested Friday following a Grand Jury Indictment for six counts of aggravated statutory rape. Staggs was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old Lawrenceburg girl.

Staggs was taken to the Lawrence County Jail where he was being held on a $60,000 bond.
