CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- City
officials are ready to break ground on their first official launching point at
the Clarksville Blueway. The waterway is a network of streams, creeks and rivers
that runs through the city under highways and around parking lots.
This
month, the Clarksville City Council approved more than $83,000 to help build that very first access point. The
project has already received $145,000 in grant money. The hope is to build up
to 20 sites where kayaks and canoes can be launched into the water.
