Stars Come Out To Celebrate ASCAP Songwriters

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A big week in Nashville with one red carpet after another kicked off Monday with the ASCAP awards honoring the industry's best songwriters and publishers.

Some of the biggest names in country came out to celebrate the 50th annual ASCAP awards. Kip Moore opened the show with a new song he penned himself, one of several artists who have a hand at making the music from start to finish, like Dierks Bentley.

"I know how hard it is to write a good song and the time that goes into writing songs. The best songwriters in the world are in this room tonight," Moore said from the stage.
