DEKALB COUNTY, Tenn. - A dangerous fugitive on the run out of Missouri was caught in DeKalb County.
DeKalb County Sheriff deputies responded to an emergency call from a market in Smithville.
Witnesses said 35-year-old Tim Hickman was beating up a woman, believed to be his girlfriend, in the store.
As deputies arrived, Hickman took off into the woods on foot and got away. They later tracked him to a hotel in town and arrested him in his room without any further incident.
During booking, they ran his name through their databases and discovered there was a BOLO for Hickman. He is a wanted fugitive out of Missouri.
He will be extradited to Missouri after facing evading arrest charges in DeKalb County.
