CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Kiwanis Club in Clarksville is seeking information about any veterans who ever lived in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area to go into a new edition of the "Faces of Valor" history booklets.
The group is working on the third edition of the booklet that contains photos and data about county veterans going back as far as the Revolutionary War.
The Leaf-Chronicle reports that the group is particularly interested in getting information about post-9/11 veterans. Many veterans in the area served at Fort Campbell, Ky., the Army installation on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line.
On November 3, people will be at the Clarksville-Montgomery County library to collect information from veterans or their families. The information in the booklet also goes into the Tennessee State Archives and the Library of Congress.
