NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro police busted up an Internet prostitution ring after an undercover officer was ushered into a hotel room full of women.
Police discovered the prostitution ring by responding to an ad on Backpage.com.
The undercover officer arranged a meeting through the ad and met three women in a hotel room who agreed to exchange sex for money.
Other officers moved in and arrested the accused organizer, Corey Ashe, on charges of promoting prostitution.
Police said he told them he had rented the room and he had traveled with the females to Nashville.
Police believe he travels from city to city with a group of women and sets up rendezvous with men via the Internet.
In fact, when police arrested Ashe they found him in the process of editing another ad for Backpage.com on his cell phone.
Ashe was held on $15,000 bond.
