MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- A Murfreesboro woman was attacked inside her home by a masked man on Halloween night.

According to a police report, a woman was sitting on her couch inside her home on Velma Drive when a masked man rushed into the house and held a knife to her throat. The man, wearing a Jason-type Halloween mask, then forced the woman to walk through her home and give him all of her jewelry and several electronic items.

Police said the suspect also demanded drugs from the victim, such as Xanax and pain pills, but the homeowner did not have any. The victim told police that the masked man tried to make her drive him to an ATM for cash, but she refused. He shoved her down and fled the home.

The armed robbery suspect was described as a white man, about 5'5 wearing a silver hockey mask, a camouflage hoodie and light colored pants.

Anyone with information about the crime was asked to call Murfreesboro Police at (615) 893-2717.
