Person Ejected, Run Over In Smith Co. Fatal Crash

SMITH COUNTY, Tenn.- One person was killed after being ejected from a car during a crash and run over.

Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said that 34-year-old Karyn E. Gullo was killed around 4 a.m. Wednesday. Officials said Gullo was driving erratically on Interstate 40 and for some reason hit the left guardrail near mile marker 262. Gullo was ejected from the car and subsequently run over by a passing vehicle.

Police said Gullo was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was killed instantly. No charges were filed against the other driver.
