Officer-Involved Crash Blocks Two Lanes Of I-24 East

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The left lanes of Interstate 24 eastbound in Nashville are blocked after an officer-involved crash on Friday afternoon.

The crash happened just before 2 p.m. at mile marker 54. Several Metro Police patrol cars were on the scene.

It was unclear what caused the crash. No injuries were reported.

Traffic was backed up but moving slowly through the area.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation estimated the crash would be cleared by 2:50 p.m.
