Domestic Assault Call Leads To Moonshine Bust

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- Clarksville Police responding to a fight between a man and his girlfriend discovered a moonshine operation.

Police said officers were called to a home on Sonja Drive on October 31. When they arrived at the home they found Matthew Walter with a small still along with buckets of corn mash, 44 jars of finished moonshine, and other manifesting equipment.

Walter has been charged with domestic assault and more charges are pending. Investigators think Walter made the moonshine and sold it to people he worked with.
