CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- Police are looking for a group of men who
they say severely beat another man over rent money.
Police say Friday afternoon, around 12:45 p.m., Gregory Robinson walked into
an unlocked apartment on Tandy Drive. Once inside, police say he showed a gun
and demanded money for overdue rent. He claimed to be a Blood gang member and
then attacked the man, punching and hitting him with a gun and threatening to
kill the man if he didn't get the money.
Robinson left but then came back with three other men, including Michael
Gray. Police say the entire group joined in the attack leaving the renter
seriously injured.
The man who was attacked was visiting the resident of the apartment. According
to police, he had sub-leased an apartment from Robinson.
Police did find a vehicle in the area matching the description of one of
vehicles the men left in. There was an assault rifle found on the ground near
the car covered with a coat.
There are warrants out for both men. Officers are still trying to identify
the other two people involved.
