Father Faces Child Abuse Charges

COLUMBIA, Tenn.- In Maury County, a father is facing child abuse charges after his infant was sent to the hospital in critical condition.

After an investigation, detectives with the Columbia Police Department charged 18-year-old Carlos Aguilar with Aggravated Child Abuse. Authorities did not give details on his three-month-old's injuries, but the baby is in critical condition.

Aguilar is in jail. His bond is set at $100,000.
