NASHVILLE, Tenn.- With
December just around corner, it's already time to start thinking about the
holidays, and the Metropolitan Police Department is doing just that.
Saturday, there were
plenty of gifts collected at the Boswell's
18th Annual Toy Parade. Hundreds of bikers lined up at Centennial Park
Saturday morning for a fun motorcycle ride to Boswell's store on Fesslers Lane to
benefit the Metro Police Department's Christmas Basket Program.
"It's a fantastic
day, and we come out: number one, to give recognition to these great programs
that the Metro Police Department supports; put a good face on motorcyclist here
in Middle Tennessee, and show how we really are out here to support the
community and those less fortunate," said event coordinator, Gary
Bagwell.
The program delivers food
and toys to those in need on Christmas Eve morning.
