NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Thousands of football fans packed LP Field as the Titans took on the Chicago Bears Sunday afternoon. But, amidst the crowds were undercover police officers on the lookout for counterfeit tickets.
Football fans filled the streets of downtown Nashville as they anticipated the Titans - Bears game.
For fans without season tickets, buying from a vendor is sometimes a more affordable option, but police said fans have to pay close attention to those tickets they buy particularly because big games often bring counterfeits.
Anyone caught selling counterfeit tickets would be charged with criminal simulation which has similar penalties to theft.
Licensed vendors Aaron Goodner and his partners said legitimate street vendors have permits, and when purchasing, they should be visible to buyers.
