NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro Police said one of their officers was assaulted during a confrontation with an armed suspect who was allegedly threatening to kill a neighbor.
A large crowd had gathered around a home on Lischey Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a woman swinging a broomstick, shattering windows and screaming "I'll kill you" repeatedly to a neighbor.
Police moved in to take her down, and said she fought back reportedly grabbing one officer in the groin and not letting go.
She then attempted to bite the other officers as they tried to cuff her, according to police.
Police then tased her in order to stop the assaults. She was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and vandalism. Her identity was not immediately released.
Police continued to interview witnesses.
