80-Year-Old Woman Killed In Clarksville House Fire

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – An 80-year-old woman was killed in a house fire in Clarksville on Monday night.

Fire crews responded to the home on Trahern Terrace around 11 p.m. and found it engulfed in flames.

Clarksville Fire and Rescue entered the home to find Carolyn Hinton, who was non-responsive. Efforts to revive her were unsuccessful, and she died at the scene.

Her body was taken to medical examiner's office in Nashville to determine her cause of death.

Fire investigators were working to determine what started the fire.

Approximately 40 emergency personnel responded to the scene.
