NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The controversial race for the District 50 House Seat may be too close to call.
With 20 of 24 precincts reporting, Democrat Bo Mitchell currently is in the lead with 12,705 votes, or 50.3 percent. His challenger, Republican Charles Williamson, got 49.7 percent, with 12,529 votes.
This race started making headlines back in the summer, when NewsChannel 5 first broke the story that Williamson's residential address was a barn, not permitted for occupancy. Williamson called it a mix-up.
District 50 stretches from Goodlettsville down to the Southwestern portion of Davidson County.
