Fisk Presidential Candidates Visit University

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Before the end of the year Fisk University will have named its next President. The Presidential Search Committee for Fisk has narrowed it down to two finalists.

The final candidates, H. James Williams and Lawrence M. Drake II, will be visiting the school next week. Williams will arrive Monday. He's currently the Dean of the Seidman College of Business a t Grand Valley State University in Michigan.  Williams is also an Accounting Professors, who has worked in the public accounting profession and in the legal profession as a corporate and tax attorney. He's also taught at Georgetown University, Florida A and M, and Texas Southern.

The other finalist for Fisk President ,Lawrence M. Drake II, attended Fisk in the 1970s. He currently serves as chairman and CDO of Hope 36, an executive management advisory firm.He's a consultant and an investment adviser.  Drake is also retired from The Coca-Cola Company, where he headed up a division of Coca-Cola Africa. Drake will arrive on Tuesday.

Current Fisk President Hazel O'Leary is retiring at the end of the year.
