Local High School Student Gets Perfect Score On SATs

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A Lipscomb Academy student has achieved a distinction millions of students across the country strive for, but only a few can claim. She got a perfect score of 2400 on the SAT.

Lipscomb Academy Senior Han Na Kim strives for perfection in everything she does, from playing the piano to performing on the SAT test.

"I was like oh my goodness, I was really thrilled," she said. "I actually did go to some of my teachers and personally thanked them,"

The mark of perfection came on her second attempt at the test.

"I was praying to god and I actually did say I know this sounds crazy, but I want to aim nothing less than the perfect score," Kim said.

The score was result of hard work and persistence. The 18-year-old National Merit Semifinalist seems to excel at everything she tries. Her next challenge will be deciding where to go to college.

"Because of the perfect score I feel that I could challenge myself and apply to schools that seemed so out of reach beforehand," she explained.

As she looks ahead to the future the plan will most likely come together perfectly.

"Overall I feel that I can relax and be confident for once. I'm very grateful," Kim said.

Han Nah is still in the process of applying to colleges and isn't sure where she wants to go. She wants to study education or theology.
