Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Two Vehicles On I-40

DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is trying to determine what led to a man being hit and killed by two vehicles on Interstate 40 in Dickson County overnight.

It happened late Sunday night at mile marker 172.

According to the highway patrol, the pedestrian was hit by two commercial vehicles. His identity was not immediately released.

No abandoned vehicle was found nearby, so it is unclear why he was walking on the interstate.

The investigation is ongoing.
