NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man was taken into custody after he attacked a woman with a box cutter at a local salon.
A court affidavit said the victim was sitting at the Oasis Salon on Thompson Lane on November 4 when 51-year-old Magdy Fahem walked in, and began threatening her.
She tried to run, but he grabbed her and held a box cutter to her throat, according to the affidavit. The victim grabbed at it, cutting her arms and hands, and then said Fahem tried to strangle her. She was able to eventually get it away from him.
When others in the salon tried to help, Fahem ran away, saying anyone who followed him would be killed, according to the affidavit.
The victim was expected to survive her injuries. She told police that Fahem already had a court date for a previous assault against her.
He was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
