WILSON COUNTY, Tenn.- A head on collision Friday killed a Wilson County postal carrier.

The crash occurred on Walter Morris Road at Conaster Road in Wilson County around 11:30 a.m. Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said that 66-year-old postal worker Joseph Grandstaff was killed when he was hit head on by another car.

The other vehicle driven by Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan's son, 20-year-old Rober Bryan, hit Grandstaff when coming around the blind curve of Walter Morris Road. Bryan was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center. His condition was not released.

Officials said Grandstaff was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. No alcohol or drugs were present at the time of the crash.

It was unclear if Grandstaff was on duty at the time of the crash.
