NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Officials said one local social security office will make some changes to their hours.
Starting Monday, the Metro Center office in Nashville will now be open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.-- a 30-minute reduction in the workday.
Employees will still work regular hours, but the move is designed to cut down on overtime and have more one-on-one interviews
Also, the office will close every Wednesday at noon beginning next year.
Officials said most services can be done online.
