Petition Created To Rename Street In Memory Of Local DJ

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A petition has been started to rename a Nashville street in honor of a local radio host who died earlier this year.

Friends and family of well-known local DJ for WUBT 101.1 The Beat Curtis "Scooby" Senior created the petition on Monday. Friends are asking the Nashville community to send an email to the city council to recommend support of BL2012-296, the ordinance created for the street naming.

The creators of the petition are hoping to have the area of 14th Avenue North between Jefferson Street and Scovel Street renamed as the Curtis Senior Lane in honor of DJ.

Anyone interested in singing the petition was asked to email councilmembers@nashville.gov simply saying "I support BL2012-296, Honorary Street Naming for Curtis Senior Lane."
