Elderly Man Hurt In Fight At Senior Citizens Center

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Police are investigating a fight between two elderly men at a senior citizens center in Cookeville.

Police said tensions ran high during a dance at a social event. An 83-year-old said every time he'd get up to dance, a 73-year-old man would take his seat and strike up a conversation with the older man's date.

At some point, a scuffle ensued. The 83-year-old man was knocked down, and suffered a head injury.

He was taken to the hospital, but it's unclear how serious his injuries were.

As of Tuesday morning, no charges had been filed.
