One Killed In Fiery Crash In Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Tenn. – One person was killed in a fiery crash in Franklin County early Tuesday morning.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a car left the roadway on Highway 127 just before 1 a.m. and traveled approximately 400 feet through a field where it hit a fence and caught fire.

The driver has not been identified, and will be taken to the Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy.

The truck was so badly burned that investigators could not get identification or tag numbers.

This cause of the crash remains under investigation.
