NASHVILLE, Tenn.- For the first time in over 30 years Black Friday shoppers will not find their holiday bargains at Hickory Hollow Mall.
The mall, once popular in the 1980s and 1990s, had been losing stores and shut down over the summer. This Thanksgiving marks the first an many years that the mall has been closed to shoppers.
A new company bought the building earlier this month and is looking tenants. Right now the building houses a campus of Nashville State community college.
This will also be the last Black Friday for Antioch's Target store. Early in November corporate headquarters announced they would be closing that store in early 2013.
